Saturday

our trip to mesa.

Just a quick post with pictures to update. Last Sunday and Monday (almost a week ago) we went to Mesa for cousin Tommy's first birthday. It's hard to believe it's been a year since Tommy was born. He was such a cute baby, with just about the biggest cheeks you've ever seen. He's really a joy, a really good kid.

Family picture. We couldn't get all three of us looking at the camera at the same time, but what else is new? It was already an hour past Gwenna's bedtime when this was taken and we still had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of us.

While we were in the valley we did a little shopping for Miss Gwenna. She got two adorable new dresses at "Love Child", formerly "Buffalo Kids". It's a great place to pick up like-new second hand kiddo clothes. If you live in the valley, I'd HIGHLY recommend it.

Gwenna stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house while Ted and I went to a pottery painting place and made a cookie jar. She conked out for about an hour with Grandpa while her Aunt Anna was babysitting her. I LOVE this picture and Gwenna loves her Grandpa.

We stayed with my sister Niki and brother-in-law Andrew while there. Here is an action shot of Niki and Gwenna sword fighting with giant knitting needles. You know you're a good mom when you aloow your child to play with pointy things, fight with them with her aunt, and then document the experience.

Tommy got way into devouring his smash cake. It was awesome. Jenny's batteries died so I was given the duty of photographer. It was actually really fun and now I have copies of all the pictures and Tim and Jenny got to have fun rather than worry about getting pictures. I recommend this to everyone. Sure, you're not behind the camera, but it's totally worth it.

A happy family, all FOUR of them, as Jenny is about 4 months pregnant. Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl!

Last but not least, the birthday boy! Just love-loving that cake his mama made for him.

We had a really great weekend. Actually, I think it was one of the more fun trips we've taken to Mesa in a long time. We got to see most all of our family and do everything we wanted to do, including hitting Fresh & Easy for veggie chips. We love them. And Gwenna slept the whole way home. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

Paige has that same adorabe white dress when she was little. I'll have to check that place out, thanks for the shopping tip!
